What I'm doing now
I am a part of a back office team in an international IT recruitment company
I do everything from contract reviews, keeping the books on sales figures and everything inbetween.
My best Lancaster memory
It’s very difficult to choose my best Lancaster memory. I made so many life lasting friendships and learnt valuble lessons both in and out of the classrooms! If I had to pick one I remember really enjoying the Furness Extrav event when they had a full moon themed party!
What Lancaster means to me
Lancaster was more than a regular university experience for me. It was my first time living in England and my first time experiencing the beautiful North West - from the gorgeous scenery to the warm welcoming people.
The lessons I learnt as a student in Lancaster have given me a great advantage in my current job as the wide selection of courses I was offered as a Business studies student gave me an overall perspective of business management and how a business needs to be run and maintained. My knowledge from Lancaster helped me achieve my first promotion within the first year of being with my current company.
Why I volunteer as an alumni group co-ordinator
Living in a new part of the world can be daunting at first, so it would be great to help people connect with those whom we have something in common. I hope many people will benefit from building a network of alumni contacts in Japan. Most importantly, it will be great fun to chat and meet with Lancaster alumni on the islands; an opportunity to share stories and create wonderful friendships.
