How to set up a new group or become an alumni contact
Alumni groups and volunteers are a worldwide network of institutional ambassadors. Groups provide a point of contact for alumni new to an area, help develop your personal social and professional networks and keep you in touch with Lancaster.
If you're interested in getting involved please get in touch.
What does an alumni contact do?
In some areas the numbers of alumni don’t make a local group feasible and so have an alumni contact instead. Their role covers:
- Being a point of contact in the region for enquiries from alumni and students (e.g. for advice on moving to the area or what it’s like to study at Lancaster)
- Assisting University staff when visiting the region (e.g. to attend Recruitment Fairs)
How to get involved:
Setting up and maintaining a successful alumni group takes time and dedication, but it is also fun and rewarding. Our group co-ordinators and alumni contacts are valuable volunteers.
