Ewan Smith Marries Dawn Kennerley

They met up during Fresher's Week in the Cartmel Coffee Shop.  Ewan had started at Lancaster University the previous year but decided to have a year out before starting back in the second year which was when he encountered Dawn.  Ewan asked Dawn to marry him when they were on their way to the Lake District to celebrate Dawn completing her 18 month Probation Officer qualification.  Ewan had promised to stop off at Lancaster University on the way so that she could buy another university hoodie which she had said she wanted (as her original one worn out!) and they had lunch at 'Pizzetta' where they always used to go.  Already thinking this was a great day, they then went for a little walk around campus and that was where he asked Dawn to marry him.  He went down on one knee on the EXACT spot they first met nearly 10 years previously, outside Cartmel Coffee Shop.  He produced a sheep ring box (a running joke because Ewan has curly hair) with a gold heart ring he had found in Dawn's jewellery box. He then produced a mini bottle of champagne out of his pocket!

They married on 27th July 2013 in Cheshire and now live in Chorlton, Manchester.

They enjoyed a mini-moon in Paris and a month long backpacking trip around South-East Asia for their main honeymoon and both love to stop off in Lancaster whenever possible.
