Liverpool Hosts Dragon Boat Race

The team was drawn from the campus and city to win third place in the competition against the universities of Liverpool, Edge Hill and UCLan at the beginning of June at Liverpool docks.

Lancaster’s team members were :

Students - Alex Cowell, Katherine Windsor, Humphrey Petersen-Jones, Tao Zhang, Hu Guofeng, Bai Xue, plus visiting faculty  Suo Yuhuan
Members of the local community - Xu Xiaojing and visitor Sally Xue 
Lancaster Confucius Institute staff, Brady Liu, Qihai Huang, Jackie Cui, Jian Guo, Deng Feng, Colette Webb.

Yuhuan Suo said: ‘It was an exciting and joyful race which united the British with the Chinese'.

The boat race will become an annual event between North West Universities and next year's will be hosted by this year's victors, UCLan, at Preston docks.
