Application Process

To apply, please provide the following information:

  • A fully completed application form
  • Your curriculum vitae
  • A research plan structured under the following headings:
    1. Research Topic Summary

      In no more than 500 words, intelligible to a reader who is not a specialist in this field, summarise the aims, approaches and significance of your planned research over the next five years.

    2. Collaboration

      In no more than 150 words, please summarise potential collaboration with existing Lancaster Staff/Research Groups/Departments and collaboration with significant UK and/or international research groups.

    3. Expected Outcomes and Funding

      In no more than 150 words, provide examples of the kinds of outputs you expect to produce during your plan (for example, academic outputs such as journal articles and/or books; the impact of your research on non-academic organisations eg industry, cultural bodies, policy organisations or the public) and identify possible approaches to seeking research funding to support further work.

For your application to be considered valid, all of these documents must be received. If you fail to provide any of the above, your application will be excluded from the selection process.

Applications should be made online here where you will need to register with the site before submitting your application. Once you have registered, you will be start to save partially completed applications and return to them at any time up to the closing date.
