Patrick Rebuschat and Sible Andringa (University of Amsterdam) have recently secured one of the coveted slots for a thematic issue of Studies in Second Language Acquisition (CUP), one of the leading journals in second language research. The special issue will focus on new directions in the study of implicit and explicit language learning and represents a ten-year follow-up to the influential 2005 special issue edited by Hulstijn and Ellis. The 2015 special issue will feature seven papers by eminent psychologists and applied linguists in addition to a general introduction and a research agenda that outlines what directions to take in the future study of implicit and explicit learning. The special issue will be published in July 2015.
