Aristotle Kallis wins staff prize for teaching

Date: 5 June 2008

Dr Aristotle Kallis has recently been named a joint winner of the university's 2008 Staff Prize for Excellence in Teaching.

The award is made in recognition of "the impressive ways that (Aristotle) has used media and technology and integrated it into an effective teaching strategy". The citation referred particularly to the innovative web-based IT support for his course "Nationalism and Genocide in Twentieth-Century Europe" which has been acclaimed by students and has also attracted international academic, media and commercial attention.

Colleagues in the Department of European Languages congratulate Aristotle on this well-deserved recognition.
