MA Fees Scholarship -- Dynamics of Memories

Dynamics of Memories is an exciting, emergent area of research excellence at Lancaster University. The Department of History is offering a full MA Fees Bursary (£3,530) in the Dynamics of Memories research area in the academic session 2008/2009. The successful candidate will enrol on the MA in Historical Research (MAHR) and will write a dissertation under the supervision of Professor Andrew Jotischky, Professor Derek Sayer or Dr John Strachan. The dissertation will demonstrate a clear and thorough engagement with theories and concepts of historical memory as they relate to the supervisor's and the candidate's research. The successful candidate will be required to participate in the activities of the IAS-based Dynamics of Memories research cluster and to provide research support to that group up to a maximum of six hours per week:
