FASS516d Thesis Writing (First Year Students only) (distance)

Module description

This course is an online version of FASS516 and reproduces the course content and learning objectives of the campus-based (face-to-face) course as much as possible. In addition, students are encouraged to put their profiles up on the site and speak to other students. However, inasmuch as the course has been designed as an on-line resource to 'dip into' at any time, there is no monitored on-line interaction as such. Professor Lynne Pearce will nevertheless be available to offer support and feedback throughout the year. The course includes sessions on: types of writing; writing locations; the literature review; from notes to drafts; and audiences (please see the campus version of the course for further details). There are many practical examples of good and bad practice posted on the site.  PLEASE SEE THE COURSE OUTLINE FOR FASS516 FOR FULL DETAILS.

Please note that this module/online resource will be made available via a Moodle site in October 2017, at the beginning of Michaelmas Term, and will be available throughout the academic year.
