The Chatteris Educational Foundation is a non-for profit charitable organisation aiming to help Hong Kong students improve their English, promote cultural exchange and develop young leaders with a global vision.
Teaching in a Chinese school environment is a challenging and rewarding experience and will develop many attributes and life skills, such as confidence, flexibility, patience, cultural diversity and communication. In addition to professional experience working in schools, Chatteris offers optional opporrtunities including Project Management, Career Development and Community Work. These provide graduate with transferable skills as well as personal and professional development suitable for any career they may choose. Recruiting for a 9 month programme for Chatteris Native-speaking English Tutors/Teachers (CNET) commencing 1 September (training begins 11th August 2014
Last year 66 university graduates mainly from the UK, US and Canada were placed in Hong Kong schools with Lancaster University having the highest number of graduates to be recruited.
Salary HK$ 14,000 per month (Approx USD$1800)
University graduates of any discipline, native English speaker or native-level English competence; excellent clarity of speech; must have a keen interest in working with children, teenagers, young children or perhaps considering a teaching career. No previous experience need as training will be provided. We are looking for the right personality.
