The Bursary is intended to help cover costs incurred during the summer training programme undertaken before starting a salaried teaching position.

Eligibility

Any currently enrolled Lancaster University student who has been offered and will be taking up a place on the Teach First Leadership Development Programme in summer 2016 is eligible to apply for this Bursary.

What are you committing to by applying?

Students who apply for the bursary will be agreeing to perform a role as an outreach ambassador for the University over the two years of training. This role will involve a commitment to:

  • Promote Higher Education to school pupils as and when appropriate opportunities arise
  • Be an active member of an ambassadors’ network who will receive regular updates on the University’s outreach events.
  • Engage in an outreach opportunity with Lancaster University such as a campus visit or an in school workshop or online engagement (where appropriate)
