Information for employers

Networking is essential for many businesses. For students, it is an incredibly valuable skill to learn and practice.

About the scheme

The Careers Networking Club provides an opportunity for employers, university staff and students to meet in an informal and friendly environment.

Students can develop their networking skills, helping them to navigate the road to a more successful and fulfilling career.

Employers have the opportunity to find out more about the university and the business support we offer.

The scheme also provides employers with a valuable insight into the skills and talents of our students.

Meetings will be held on a termly basis; with food and refreshments provided!

The Careers Networking Club is also a great opportunity for businesses to connect with students and staff at the university.

You can find out more about the work of the university and how this is supporting business growth within the region.

This network may also help you identify other opportunities for collaboration with the university, allowing your business to benefit from some of the academic projects we undertake.

The Careers Networking Club helps you to identify work related projects or placements that could make a valuable contribution to your business. Our in-house Employment and Recruitment Service can help ensure that we identify the students with the skills and talents you seek.

Engaging with the process of supporting students could also offer an opportunity for the professional development of young professionals within your organisation.
