Financial support

There are a range of support options, some of which may be subject to specific eligibility criteria.

Studying at university can be an expensive time for all students and particularly for less advantaged students.

Funding may be available to help students in a variety of situations and in particular students who are in receipt of financial support from their university.

Information about financial support is provided by the Student Funding team.

Some Lancaster University Colleges offer funding for opportunities like vacation travel. Check with your College Administrator for details.

A Travel Bursary can provide financial help (up to £150 per academic year) to get to graduate job or student internship/placement interviews and/or assessment centres where travel expenses are not provided by the recruiting organisation.

Please note that interviews for part time, temporary, non-graduate jobs are not eligible for support.

It is important that you research the labour market and your career choices before committing to further study.

Lancaster University offers a Teach First Outreach Ambassador Bursary for eligible students looking for a teaching career. Information about the bursary can be found here.
