Ask for help, manage your appointments and events, and explore a range of opportunities, including part-time, full-time, and graduate opportunities, sourced and vetted by us.
What is it?
TARGETconnect is a tool to help you access careers information, advice, guidance, events, and opportunities.
You can easily manage your own personal careers profile so you can decide what information you receive, which jobs you look for regularly, and lets you book appointments and book onto events online. You can also keep a record of your attendance and any action plans you devise after your careers consultations.
We have friendly staff based in Careers who can help you make a start and if you can’t make it onto campus you can ask us a question and we will respond using e-guidance.
TARGETconnect is only available for Lancaster students and graduates. Current students can log-on using their existing Lancaster student ID and password. Graduates may need to register and on approval will be able to use the system.
To access TARGETconnect, visit lancaster.targetconnect.net
How do I use it?
- Tailored job search for full and part-time opportunities
- Details of further study options
- Ability to submit careers questions online using the ‘My queries’ function
- Online booking facility for Careers appointments
- Check availability of Careers drop-in sessions
- Details of Employer and Careers events and workshops
- View profiles for graduate employers
- Option to set your own profile and preferences
You can book appointments, check drop-in times, and arrange a mock interview via the 'Appointments' tab. You will also be able to have your notes from these appointments added to your profile.
Simply click the red 'Appointments' tab at the top of the page, click 'Book appointment', select which type of appointment you would like to book, and select an available date from the list.
Instead of e-mailing or attending a drop-in, you can quickly and easily submit a query via TARGETconnect. Click on the 'Queries' tab and select 'Submit query'.
Please be as detailed as possible, and if the query concerns a CV, cover letter or application, you can attach these to your query.
All of our events are available to view on our 'Event Calendar', which you can access by clicking the 'Events' tab at the top of the page. You can then see when we are holding workshops and events, and we will also advertise some opportunities outside of campus, such as career fairs and recruitment events in other cities, and links to view webinars.
To book onto an event, simply click on the event, and on the next page, click 'book now'. All of the events which you have booked onto are available to view under 'My Events'.
Booking onto an event helps us contact you if any information changes, such as the location or time, allows us to contact you if there is any follow-up information after the event, and also makes sure that we have enough places available for events with restricted numbers.
