Overview

This course is for doctors at any stage of their careers who are interested in developing and proving their commitment to:

  • Improving patient experience and service delivery
  • Demonstrating caring, compassionate, authentic leadership
  • Developing leadership capacity to achieve medical and organisational impact

The course is designed to develop your knowledge, understanding and skills in line with the Medical Leadership Competency Framework.

Students may make a claim for credit for prior learning to exempt them from some modules by undertaking the module Recognition and Accreditation of Prior Learning (RAPL).

Duration: The duration of this part-time course is flexible as it is offered on a modular basis.

Entry requirements: Qualified doctors holding an MBChB or equivalent. For the Postgraduate Diploma/MSc, a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Leadership or equivalent is required.

Assessment: Coursework, including learning contracts, project proposals, reports, reflective commentary, and oral presentation.
