Postgraduate Certificate in Organisation Development

This course will enable you to explore the role of Organisation Development in enhancing the effectiveness of organisational performance.
The course provides opportunity for those involved in the practice of Organisation Development to gain professional recognition for their role and contribution to organisation performance.
The course draws on knowledge from:
- Disciplines of organisation cultures, values and behaviours
- Organisation change and improvement science
- Leadership and management
- Systems thinking
The focus is on providing you with opportunities to apply knowledge and skills into your own workplace practice.
Students may also make a claim for credit for prior learning to exempt them from some modules by undertaking the module Recognition and Accreditation of Prior Learning (RAPL).
Progression routes to Postgraduate Diploma and Masters Degree are available via the Professional Practice route.

Progression routes to Postgraduate Diploma and Masters Degree are available via the Professional Practice route with increased emphasis on bespoke learning related to the delivery of work-based projects and you choose from a range of optional modules in line with your specific needs. You will need modules to the value of 60-credits for the Postgraduate Certificate, 120-credits for the Postgraduate Diploma and 180-credits for a Master’s Degree.
Diploma and Masters modules include:
- Work-based enquiry methods for investigating work-based change projects
- Work-based change projects, varying in size and scope

Duration: The duration of this part-time course is flexible as it is offered on a modular basis. Students may also make a claim (APL) to gain credits for exemption from some modules.
Entry requirements: Applicants should be in roles involved with the practice of Organisation Development with usually at least three years work experience.
Assessment: Coursework, including learning contracts, project proposals, reports, reflective commentary, and oral presentation.
