The new academic year sees the launch of the CETAD ONLINE+ programmes that have been piloted and developed in response to student feedback

ONLINE+ offers students the flexibility to study when and where they choose, either fully online or through choosing to attend optional face-to-face workshops alongside their online learning.  Workshops are themed around Organisational Change, Leadership, Communication, Projects, Practitioner Enquiry and Postgraduate Study Skills, complementing online modules.

Students unfamiliar with ONLINE+ will see a completely new look to the CETAD Virtual Learning Environment interface, Moodle. This has been significantly upgraded to provide a more contemporary look, with easier navigation, structured learning pathways and varied learning resources, including lessons, videos, podcasts, journal articles and links to relevant websites.  ONLINE+ offers high quality, diverse learning resources including signposting for independent study outside of core content for students wishing to study a module topic in more depth.

ONLINE+ respects that work-based learners are busy with multiple pressures on personal time.  Therefore we have designed the modules so that you do not need to log onto a computer every time you want to study.  The Moodle app means that you can access the learning on a smartphone or tablet; enabling you to learn ‘on the go’ with our ‘bitesize’ learning activities.

Finally, ONLINE+ does not mean learning in isolation.  Each module is supported by an online facilitator and includes practical activities and opportunities to share experiences with other students and your facilitator; enabling interpretation and application of learning to practice.
