The ICT Focus Cisco Centre is a Regional Cisco Network Academy supporting a large number of Local Academies in the North West. We will be glad to welcome you into the Cisco Academy Programme and offer you our support in establishing and maintiaining a thriving educational programme at your institution.
Let Us Support You
The support that ICT Focus can provide is three fold. ICT Focus has considerable experience in establish and supporting Local Academies no matter what curricula they delivery. We can advise on all aspects of your set up from training needs and administration to technical installation. We have formed strong partnerships with a number of Cisco Approved Partners in order to get the best deals on the equipment needed to set up an academy.
ICT Focus has a wealth of experience with government educational funding bodies, such as the LSC>> and HEFCE>>. We also have created numerous education programmes that integrate curricula from the Cisco Academy Programme, including integrating the CCNA programme into the following Lancaster Degree Programmes:
- BSc Management and Information Technology (MIT)>>
- MSc Information Technology, Management & Organisational Change (ITMOC)>>
- MSc in Networking and Internet Systems (NIS)>>
ICT Focus is staffed with highly motivated and skilled IT professionals. These staff members have been drawn from a range of backgrounds, from Academia to Industry, with all having proven experience working in the IT training arena.
Academy Programme
The Cisco Network Academy Programme>> was establish by Cisco>> to encourage the development of advanced, practical networking and IT skills in students studying at Schools, Colleges, and Universities.
Launched in October 1997 with 64 educational institutions in seven states, the Networking Academy has spread to more than 150 countries. Since its inception, over 1.6 Million students have enrolled at more than 10,000 Academies located in high schools, technical Schools, Colleges, Universities, and community-based organizations.
