  • Welcome to Graduate College

Welcome to Graduate College, Lancaster University’s only College reserved inclusively for graduate students.  The College provides a hub for graduate activity at Lancaster University and houses just under 1,000 residents.

Our aim at Graduate College is to provide a friendly and welcoming community which supports our postgraduate students and provides an environment which enables them to grow both intellectually and socially.  The College has a uniquely international and multicultural mix which presents members with an ideal opportunity to broaden horizons, share experiences and celebrate diversity.

In conjunction with the PGBoard we deliver social events which celebrate the talent within our graduate population.  Through our travel grants we support your intellectual endeavours and through our research conference, writing workshops and coaching we support our students to achieve their goals.

This year is an exciting year for Graduate College as we look forward to the refurbishment of our study and social facilities and see the opening of the new postgraduate only space in Lancaster town centre at the Storey Institute.

And finally, it is our staff and students which makes Graduate College what it is so come along, join in and get involved with your College.

This week is called Intro Week or Freshers Week and is the time each year when the largest intake of new students arrives at the University. Some of the events this week are compulsory – you must go to them. Many events are optional; so you can pick and choose. The college intro week timetable includes activities and events organised by the college, PGBoard, University and Student Union. Not all events are finalised yet, so please check back here for the most up to date timetable.
