Grizedale College has a team of committed individuals dedicated to helping Grizedale students to settle into university life and enjoy their time whilst at Lancaster. This group is called the College Advisor Team (CAT) and they are a first point of call for any students feeling uncertain or concerned about a variety of welfare issues:
• Personal & social
• Helath, physical, emotional
• Financial problems
• Academic issues
Lots of students find the transition to university life difficult and many will experience personal problems along the way. Please don’t suffer in silence, come to talk to the CAT and we will support you through your degree. If we can’t help, we will know someone who can.
CAT is also able to help Grizedale students who find themselves in academic difficulties further into their degree and, for example, can back up student cases in from of the Standing Academic Committee.

Hello, I’m Luke, and I am a member of the Grizedale College Advisor Team. I graduated from Grizedale college in 2005 and now work in the Finance department at Lancaster University, so I have a very loyal connection to Grizedale! Outside of work I go to the Uni Gym most days and enjoy both free weights and swimming as well as playing the odd game of badminton. I love classic cars and always have a project or two on the go. I’m also a member of the staff LGBT working group. Say Hi as you pass me along the spine, and I look forward to meeting you all soon.
