Graduation 2014

This year Pendle will have two ceremonies on the 18th July:- LUMS, FASS, FHM students will graduate at 12 noon and FST students will graduate at 3.00 pm (along with Lonsdale students).

Take a look at the following 12 noon Itinerary or  the 3.00 pm Itinerary

By now you will have received Graduation information from the Ceremonies Office via email. All information about ceremonies is available at http://www.lancaster.ac.uk/graduation/undergraduate

If you haven’t already done so then please confirm your attendance at the ceremony and book your guest tickets for the day Ceremonies. Two guest tickets are guaranteed for those who apply by Friday, 11th April. After that date you will have to apply via email to ceremonies@lancaster.ac.uk

Graduation Day is the special occasion marking your progress from student to University Graduate, and Pendle – proud of your success – is pleased to arrange a day of events in college to enable you both to celebrate with your family and friends and to spend a final afternoon in your College. Have a look at the itinerary for the day on the College website http://www.lancs.ac.uk/colleges/pendle/the-venue-of-legends

All graduating students are expected to attend the College Group Photograph at 1.00 pm in Lancaster Square. Immediately after the photograph there will be a brief presentation of College Awards.

You are invited to make your way down to Pendle College Quad after your graduation ceremony. Following a hearty food-sampling session by College Council this term, we have booked the winning supplier to serve our Afternoon Tea in the Pendle Rooms. Tickets for the Afternoon Tea are available either on-line from the online store CLICK HERE or from Jill in the College Office (j.harpley@lancaster.ac.uk ) The subsidised ticket price is £5 and the Afternoon Tea plate will consist of sandwiches, wraps and open rolls (with the option of vegetarian, fish and meat filling) plus treats in the form of Mini scones with Chantilly cream and strawberry jam, Hazelnut and milk chocolate brownie and Victoria sponge cake. There will be a choice of tea, coffee or orange juice provided with the meal. Your tickets should be picked up from the College Office at any time or combined with picking up your Ceremony tickets from 9th June onwards. Alternatively you can bring your own picnic as we have plenty of tables and chairs and you can relax in the summer sunshine. There are also catering outlets open on campus throughout the day. There will be a complimentary glass of wine or juice for everyone. Live music will be provided by Quay Change.

Once again, Pendle Porter (and superb photographer) Ian Wood will be our wonderful roving cameraman all afternoon to capture shots of you, your friends and family in Pendle on this special day. All photos will be taken for our website and the College archive. Members of the college SCR will be on hand to help you celebrate.

I wish you & your family a wonderful celebration to mark your excellent achievement at Lancaster, and hope you enjoy a superb final day in Pendle – the best college on campus!

Warmest wishes,

Roger Gould
Pendle College Principal
