Our Faraday complex is a self–contained building which is perfect for events with multiple parallel sessions.
Our Faraday complex is a self–contained building which offers 3 lecture theatres, 2 colloquium spaces and 4 seminar rooms.
Our largest tiered lecture theatre can seat up to 280 people and all of our lecture theatres aree equipped with a data projector, PC', microphones and whiteboard.
Located either side of the Faraday Lecture Theatre the modern Cavendish and Frankland lecture theatres both seat up to 140 people. On the first floor we have two additional tiered lecture theatres which can both seat up to 60 people. This means that we can seat a total number of 680 people in the 5 lecture theatres at any one time.
For those conferences or meetings that require flat floored workspace, the Faraday building also houses four seminar rooms located on the ground floor. These seminar rooms can seat up to 24 people.
Supported by the foyer area linking all of the lecture theatres, organisers often use this space for their registration table, refreshments and lunches. For smaller events it is also possible to place poster boards in this area.
As the Faraday building is used for teaching it is available during the University vacation periods (usually March/April, July, August and September).
