Mandarin Chinese language classes

We offer Mandarin Chinese Language Classes for staff, students and the local community. 


Please see the language classes timetable for details.

For all classes, learners will need to study privately for approximately 3 hours a week between lessons in order to learn vocabulary.

Want to practice your Mandarin?

The Chinese café is an informal and free drop-in place to practice Mandarin with native speakers. All native speakers and students of Chinese welcome, no need to book and it's free!

 Are you interested in Chinese films?

Lancaster University Confucius Institute is offering a set of 10 Chinese film screenings on campus almost every fortnight (breaking for Christmas). These should be excellent for any Chinese learners, but the invitation is open to absolutely everyone! If you fancy brushing up on your Chinese, or just want to enjoy a good film, we’d be happy to have you. And don’t worry- all our screenings feature English subtitles! 

When: Every second Tuesday- Beginning from Tuesday 17th October 2017
