Financial Planning / Financial Forecasting
As part of the budgeting and monitoring process and to meet internal and external reporting requirements finance regularly prepare and report on a summary budget position for a rolling period of 4 years. The updated ‘Financial Forecasts’ which include an income & expenditure statement, a balance sheet and a cash flow forecast are presented to Finance Committee and Council throughout the year for their approval. Copies of the minutes can be found on the Governance and Planning web pages

The costs incurred are reported within the capital programme and this is published within the Executive Summary of the Gold Report. All new capital projects are subject to approval before commencement. On approval requests should be made to Finance for a code to be set up using the ‘request for new capital code’ form available on the Forms Index page Any procurement against capital projects should adhere to the purchasing policy and procedures contained on the Procurement website
