ESRC Future Research Leaders 2016 - internal call for proposals
Internal Deadline: 31/07/2015 (successful proposals to go forward to ESRC deadline of 29/09/2015)
The ESRC have issued their annual call for proposals for the Future Research Leaders scheme. This funding will enable outstanding early career social scientists (max four years’ experience following PhD completion) to acquire the skills to become future world leaders in their field. There is a strong emphasis on knowledge exchange, economic and societal impact and this must be reflected in the proposal. Funding of up to £230,000 (at 100% full economic costs) is available for projects of up to 24 months duration.

Internal competition: Please send a 2 page proposal (references on a 3rd page if necessary) including details of the proposed mentor. Focus on the originality of the research and the KE and impact activities. Include details of your intended mentor and how you intend to use the developmental aspects of the grant. Send proposals and a 2 page CV to the Research Support Office by 5pm Friday 31/07/2015 – firstname.lastname@example.org . Proposals will be ranked and sent to the Pro-VC for Research who will make the final decision on which candidates to support in consultation with Associate Deans for Research.
