Lancaster University’s Data Science Institute would like to invite you to join us at the University for this year’s Data Science Partners’ Workshop. This event will allow you to hear about the latest developments in Data Science research and technologies; network with peers in other industries; consider strategies for optimising your own use of data; and explore possibilities for working with the University.

The event will take place on Thursday 21st September. We will start with presentations from the University’s academics about the future of data science and how our own research is shaping the ways in which information is used. We will then have a series of discussions focused on real-world data science challenges presented by our company partners. These ‘peer challenges’ are intended to encourage the sharing of ideas across attendees and promote the co-operative development of novel solutions.

After lunch we will have an interactive session in which we will work through a scenario entailing the construction of a strategy to capitalise on the opportunities presented by data science.

We will then hear examples of collaborations that have been performed by our academics and industry partners and look at ways in which we can work together.

If you would like more information or wish to register your interest in attending please contact Simon Tomlinson.
