Research Overview

Helena is a PhD student based at the School of Computing and Communications. Her research interests span digital health, human computer interaction, big data and software engineering. Helena's PhD project is part of the North West Connected Health Cities initiative (https://www.connectedhealthcities.org). Her PhD looks at the ways that data supported decision making tools can improve the care pathway for people with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). She is particularly interested in how health data can provide insights to clinicians to help them improve services and personalised care planning in clinical settings.
