Lancaster University will raise the rainbow flag during February as it proudly celebrates LGBT History Month 2017.
A range of activities will take place including information stalls in Alexandra Square, recruitment for a new staff LGBTQ+ network, and a photography exhibition in the library.
Each week the campaign will highlight an influential figure from LGBT History, including Sappho magazine founder Jackie Forster, law reform campaigner Allan Horsfall, suffragette leader Emmeline Pankhurst and trans activist Sylvia Rivera.
