In January 2015, the PhD programme in Educational Research will admit its 20th Cohort of students. Over its 20 year history the programme has been hugely successful with over 100 students graduating with PhDs, a large number of whom have gone onto become national or international figures in Higher Education research, policy and practice.

This one-day conference is designed to bring together current students and alumni from the programme to share their experiences, research ideas and professional trajectories. It will celebrate the 20th anniversary of this innovative PhD programme, which has an international reputation and a unique place in the higher education research community.

The conference will offer participants a mixture of subject-focused keynotes, opportunities to develop their research ideas, discussions on how to keep researching in a busy research career, and chances to catch-up and network with past and present students from the programme. The sessions will be led by both staff and alumni from the programme and the day will conclude with a wine reception.
