There has been much written about the topic of technology enhancing learning – and much that has suggested that using technologies might not actually enhance learning. Yet teachers and learners continue to feel that there are enhancements occurring – so why is the evidence not identified and available to us? In this seminar, I will explore this issue – and argue how, and indeed why, we need to reconceptualise our understanding and perception of the term – technology enhanced learning.
Don’s research investigates how digital technologies support learning and teaching, inside and outside classrooms, in home and community settings. Findings have informed policy and practice, for government departments and agencies, regional and local authorities, companies and corporations including the BBC.
