Researching Social Justice
This module aims to provide opportunities for professionals working to promote social justice in or through education to become autonomous educational researchers, and to gain deeper and more critical insights into their professional practice and concerns. It will enable participants to engage with a range of research methods and methodologies.
It aims to provide a sound grounding in a range of research techniques which can be used to generate qualitative and quantitative data, and an understanding of the philosophical and epistemological principles underlying these techniques and their associated research processes.
Students will develop their research proposals throughout the course of the module. The Research Proposal will be submitted as the final assessment for this module as preparation for Part Two.
