EnginE works with Lancashire manufacturing SMEs to try and help address some of the workforce challenges that they may have. Training and development can be hard to afford and could lead to issues of retaining great staff and recruiting new people.

EnginE funded internships are a great way for Lancashire Manufacturing SMEs to try out new high-level skills within their businesses. The EnginE project has access to pools of undergraduates, graduates and postgraduates who can bring bright ideas, new skills and fresh talent into your business.

Funding & eligibility
Access to events, workshops, and skills assessment is fully funded, and available to European Social Fund (ESF) eligible businesses within the Advanced Engineering and Manufacturing sectors.
Eligibility includes:
- Based in Lancashire
- Employ fewer than 250 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees
- Annual turnover of less than €50 million (or the equivalent in GBP)
- Received less than €200,000 of de minimis State Aid in the last 3 years
