Nuclear Academics Meeting

4th-5th September 2017 at Lancaster University

Lancaster University will host the 2017 UK Nuclear Academics Meeting. The purpose is to bring together senior academics involved with nuclear energy related topics across the UK to engage with institutions nationally and internationality.

Lancaster House Hotel is a four-star hotel based just a short walk from the meeting rooms. They are offering a preferential rate of £85 per night bed and breakfast, subject to availability. Day 3 Wednesday 6th September
9:00-12:30 Optional visit to Heysham Power Station. There are limited places and this will be offered on a first-come-first-served basis.

Evening Event - Dinner & Brewery Tour at Lancaster Brewery

In the evening, a coach will take the party to Lancaster Brewery, where there will a brewery tour with sampling and a sit-down meal. The menu will be as follows:

Starter Homemade Tomato, Celery and Apple Soup (v) served with a bread roll and butter
Main Course Roast Breast of Chicken with mushrooms, pancetta, white wine and cream or Mediterranean Vegetable Tart with a tomato and basil sauce (v)
Both served with parmentier potatoes and a selection of seasonal vegetables

Glazed Lemon Tart with raspberries and creme fraiche or Sticky Toffee Pudding with toffee sauce and fresh cream
