The Lancaster Writing Awards
In association with Cake Magazine andThe Flash Journal Lancaster (both published in association with the Department of English Literature and Creative Writing and the Lancaster Writing Programme) the Lancaster Writing Awards recognise emerging writing talent in literary criticism, prose fiction and poetry. Work submitted for the awards is read and judged by working critics, poets and short-story writers, including the critic Professor Terry Eagleton and the poet Professor Paul Farley. The long and short listed entries are publicised via our website and social media. Prizes include up to £100 in book vouchers and publication in Cake Magazine.
