Professor Paul Farley (Creative Writing) presents a fifth series of The Echo Chamber on BBC Radio 4 every Sunday afternoon throughout August. The first episode (which airs on Sunday 2 August) is an interview with the critic, broadcaster, essayist and poet Clive James; other episodes include readings by Tony Harrison and Lancaster English and Creative Writing alumnus Andrew McMillan. Paul also has a new poem published in this weekend's Guardian, and his work is also featured in a series of performances at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre this summer in London. The Voice and the Echo brings together a range of critically-acclaimed contemporary poets responding to canonical poetry with new and celebrated works of their own. Actors and musicians will bring both the traditional canon and the contemporary replies to life. For more details see here.
