continues recipe Exchange connections around Spacex.

One thing is a Science Park about to leap the planning restrictions on building over the motorway.

I am beginning to think that most IAS research is about the same question - what to think about modernity? Is protection science just rhetoric? Is there a danger for stray cats on a country walk?

Recipe Exchange finds new purpose for a gallery

There is an exhibit at Spacex in Exeter based on exchange of knowledge as recipes. There is some cooking but the content can be about anything. Much has already happened at Farringdon, a village only a few miles outside Exeter.

The gallery has some video and photos from the events as well as access to the online sites and recipes.

I have done a blog post linking to Flickr set of photos

cqimoso now finds check / study on YouTube search

The check / study discussion now turns up as part of the presentation of Dening ideas on YouTube. The Chartered Quality Institute has a Deming Special Interest Group which has published a model for a sustainable organisation as an updated take on Deming. There are now several videos on YouTube and the #tag cqimoso is on each of them.

Guardian reveals dark side of cloud community

My blog

http://will789gb.posterous.com/guardiantalk-gut-gutalk-this-is-still-a-s...

news is Guardian closes Talkboards, Guardian Talk after ten years. Just like that one Friday afternoon. No explanation till Monday just to make life easier.

they may get away with this. Explain? Apologise? never, go by the book.

So yes there is a dark side to cloud communities. They can be cancelled for no apparent reason.

Still think the cloud is worth checking out. But plenty to discuss.

Has Nick Cohen got a point re academic language and public support?

Saw this in the Observer

http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2011/jan/30/nick-cohen-higher-education-cuts

Seems to be about language and public support for university funding or the lack of it compared to forests and other issues.

I think he may have a point.

Cloud has arrived, netrootsuk.org for example

It made the Today program and the Guardian

http://www.netrootsuk.org/

links to Facebook and Twitter, video to follow as will some views on the hyperlocal

http://www.netrootsuk.org/workshops/engaging-on-a-hyper-local-level-online/

So what to think re critique, activism.

Has the cloud got a bright side?

Cloud has arrived, so could critique follow on?

I have suggested limited time travel, thinking about BETT and Learning Technologies as one event. Both at Olympia this month, the locations fit together really well so some fake video will be possible much later.

http://bit.ly/eaifwG

Also mash up of devices actually in use for people aged less than most voters, compared to leadership etc.

Previous posts on blog more about time travel. Still to come dates, stand numbers etc.

The cloud seems to be here. This could be checked at either event.

Making Time Ends on Thursday

I have done a blog post with link to Tales of Things

the Making Time garden outside the Nuffield Theatre is coming to an end or may continue. Anyone close to it who could comment?
