The Cloud Project
Imagine if we could engineer the climate so that it snowed ice cream. On the afternoons of 17 to 19 March you can catch a glimpse of a possible future when artists Cathrine Kramer and Zoe Papadopoulou bring their specially adapted ice cream van to Edward Roberts Court (in front of Spar), serving nano ice cream, creating strawberry flavoured clouds, and exploring developments in nanotechnology.
The event is part of the Abandon Normal Devices festival of new cinema and digital culture, and has been developed in collaboration with the Experimentality programme of the IAS and the Peter Scott Gallery, with the assistance of the Department of Physics and the Sultan of Lancaster.
