13 February 2018
The preparations and extra practice sessions for Strictly 2018 all came to a head on Saturday 3rd February in the Great Hall.

The dancers took to the floor to battle it out for the highly prized Glitter Ball trophy, completing two routines which included the Paso Doble and the Samba.

11 couples performed in front of an audience of over 300 guests in support of a very worthy charity, the Breast Cancer Care Unit at Lancaster. A huge well done to all the dancers for putting on an incredible show, and a well deserved congratulations to the winners, Michele Aldridge and Romona McManus.

A big thank you also has to go to Karen Peake and Sue Longfield for putting on such an amazing night that was enjoyed by the dancers and their guests. Also, thank you to Gail and her dance school for putting in the time and effort to bring the competitors up to 'Strictly' standard and also to her dancers for performing on the night. Thank you also to everyone who was involved in making the night possible, including the technical staff, catering and many more, plus a huge thanks to anyone who donated to the brilliant cause!
