Refurbishment Works on the Mock Court Room Commence in the Faraday Building

Works are planned to continue for a period of 10 weeks and will include the full refurbishment of the Frankland Room, as well as the installation of a new platform lift to improve access to both the Frankland and Cavendish Colloquium Rooms.

The works will be conducted in isolation from the rest of the Faraday Complex in order to minimise disruption. Rooms LA20 and LA22 (Cavendish Colloquium room) will be unavailable for this period. Please note that the stairs leading to these rooms will be cordoned off for the duration of the works.

The site compound for these works is located to the rear of Chemistry which means that, in order to access the refurbishment site, the contractors must walk through the Faraday Building with tools and materials. The contractors have agreed a specific route through the building which will ensure they use as little of the buildings corridors as possible however, some use of corridors is unavoidable. Please bear this in mind when using corridors between the Chemistry Building and Faraday Lecture Theatres.
