From Monday 23rd April, the area outside Pizzetta, known as Furness College Court will undergo works as part of the Spine Remodelling Project.
From Monday 23rd April, high level drilling works will be conducted to the eastern façade of Bowland North and the western and southern façades of FASS. The works are expected to continue until the middle of May and will allow steel works to be installed in preparation to receive the new canopy.
The inbound lane of Bigforth Drive, the main drive in to campus, will be closed between 7am and 1pm on Saturday 21st April to allow for resurfacing works to be completed.
Edward Roberts Court is now open. The Spar is available with all other retail units resuming normal business hours from Saturday 14th April.
From Monday 16th April, the cut-through from Bowland North Quad to the North Spine will close for the duration of Summer Term, in addition to existing closures in the area.
Furness College entrance from the Spine is now closed for 7 weeks while contractors conduct works to the canopy.
Emergency repairs to the roof of Slaidburn House are coming to an end this week and as such the scaffold in Edward Roberts Court between Costa and the Spar Shop will be removed on Thursday 12th and Friday 13th April.
Bigforth Drive is now open ahead of schedule however a delay to the Underpass works will require both lanes to remain closed until 7pm on Wednesday 11th April.
From Monday 16th April, the Mouth of the North Spine will close between Santander and the Learning Zone to allow contractors to work safely on the canopy above.
Minor road repairs started across campus last week, leaving more impactful works to be conducted over the University’s Easter closure period.
