Contractors for the Spine Remodelling Project are progressing works along the South Spine in a series of phases over the next 2-3 months.
Following the installation of scaffold in the underpass prior to the start of term, contractors are preparing to install steel supports to the ceiling of the underpass to allow for the installation of the new digital screen as part of the e-campus network.

A new drainage system will be installed to improve the drainage to the grassland area surrounding the Chaplaincy.
Works along the North Spine will take place on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st January, which require closures in two key areas in order to lay paving and continue the installation of canopy in the area.
The University is investing in a newly refurbished reception area for Lancaster Conferences and Guest Rooms in Bowland Hall (formerly CETAD).
From Monday 8th January, scaffolding will be erected in the underpass in preparation for steel work to be installed over the following 4 weekends.
Closure to the pathway adjacent to the Library is planned between the 18th and 22nd of December to allow contractors to maintain the timber facade on the North West elevation of the Library.

The entrance to University House will be closed from Alexandra Square on Saturday 2nd December as a safety precaution whilst silver lettering is installed to the rendered area above the entrance.
