Finishing works to the canopy between FASS and Bowland North will see the Spine close for three weeks.

A diversion route is to be reinstated outside the FASS main entrance between Monday 30th July and Friday 17th August as per the North Spine Overview Map

Scheduled works to the canopy between FASS and Bowland North Building will take place in the area meaning a number of alternative routes are to be signposted, including an accessible route through Physics Garden and in to the Faraday Complex.

These works will require the main entrance of FASS to close. The temporary entrance in to the building will be via the rear door, which can be found by taking the steps up to the Chemistry building and then following the perimeter of the contractors compound round to the left.

The works will create intermittent noise disruption to the surrounding buildings, which is unfortunately unavoidable. Because of this, the decision was made to conduct the works outside of term-time, in order to mitigate the impact on staff and students.

Please also note that in addition to this closure, the mouth of the South Spine will remain closed for an extended period. This area will now remain closed until the 31st August.
