This module will be structured as a 4-day course and takes place on 22-25 May 2012.

  • Introduction to key texts
  • Learn and interrogate key concepts
  • Discuss theoretical and methodological resource
  • Engage in debate about current issues with leading scholars

Tutors: Professor Maureen McNeil, Professor Lucy Suchman, Dr. Celia Roberts and Dr. Vicky Singleton - Centre for Science Studies and Centre for Gender and Women's Studies, Lancaster University, Lancaster, UK.

Guest Tutors: Dr Carol Kingdon, UCLAN and Liverpool Women's Hospital, UK, Dr Karen Throsby, University of Warwick, UK, Associate Professor Michelle Murphy, University of Toronto, Canada.

Registration Process: Please formally register a place on the module here. The deadline for registering is Monday 6th May.

Cost: £95 for participants external to Lancaster University (includes lunch on Tuesday 22nd May 2012 - excludes accommodation, travel and other food costs).£6.00 for LU staff and students (includes lunch on Tuesday 22nd May 2012)
