Karen Broomhead is a Senior Lecturer at Liverpool John Moores University.

Area of work: Special educational needs (SEN) parenting; parental responsibilty; home-school relationships; behavioural, emotional and social difficulties; 'labelling' of children with SEN; blame and stigma within the context of SEN.

Paula Burkinshaw

Paula Burkinshaw is a Senior Research Fellow at Leeds University Centre for Interdisciplinary Leadership.

Area of work: gender and leadership, gendered leadership cultures, leadership as communities of practice of masculinities and leadership development interventions for women.

Heather Piper

Heather Piper is a Professor in the Education and Social Research Institute at Manchester Metropolitan University.

Area of work: Heather's research is varied but her main interest is in moral panics, risk, abuse and violence. In relation to the latter, Heather has conducted research about children and violence towards animals.

Dave Putwain
