Research programmes: Evaluation: current agenda

Evaluation, both in higher education and in many other educational settings in the UK and overseas, has been a key research programme in the Department of Educational Research for many years and has led to the development of a social practice approach to evaluation.

An implementation of this approach is EvalPartners;an initiative designed to promote country-led evaluation systems through strengthening Voluntary Organizations for Professional Evaluation (VOPEs).

Murray Saunders, in his role as Vice-President of the International Organization for Cooperation in Evaluation (IOCE), was closely involved with the setting up of EvalPartners and is actively contributing to its programmes.
