Public lecture - on technology, poverty and women's citizenship

On 10th July 2013, a public lecture, joint hosted by the Centre for Technology Enhanced Learning and the Centre for Social Justice and Well-Being, was given by Dr Virginia Eubanks, Associate Professor of Women's Studies at the University at Albany, USA. Virginia explored the theme of technology, poverty and women's citizenship in her lecture entitled 'Can Technology Serve Social Justice?' The lecture was open to all interested in education; it attracted a wide audience, was streamed live to a number of participants online, and stimulated lively discussion.
