Digital knowledge: what teachers should know in the digital age

Date: 21 July 2014

Lancaster graduate Dr Alberto Ramirez-Martinell (Universidad Veracruzana, Mexico) gave a presentation for Lancaster University's Organisation and Educational Development (OED) unit on Wednesday 16th July entitled "Digital knowledge: what teachers should know in the digital age". Alberto shared insights from his project on the "digital divide in higher education" (access - use - and appropriation). The project seeks to measure the degree of ICT appropriation of HE educators depending on their discipline. The proposed framework for the project is based on UNESCO, OCDE, ISTE and ECDL frameworks and is called "Digital Knowledge".
