Carolyn Jackson - 'Lad culture' and learning in higher education

Research by Professor Carolyn Jackson, Dr Steve Dempster (Lancaster University) and Dr Lucie Pollard (University of Greenwich) was reported in Times Higher Education on January 2nd 2014. The report was based on Jackson's presentation at the Society for Research into Higher Education (SRHE) Conference in December 2013, which explored laddism amongst sports science students at a post-1992 English university. In particular, it considered what laddism means in a HE context, and the ways in which lad cultures impact on student learning.

Professor Jackson's research was also reported in the Huffington Post on January 6th 2014.
