£500m has 'superficial' impact on improving university teaching

Date: 31 July 2014

The Times Higher has reported on the here@lancaster research project investigating HEFCE's initiatives on learning and teaching in the recent past and the alternatives for the future in a more restricted funding environment. While ignoring the substantial review of relevant evaluations and research reports that was conducted as part of the study, the Times Higher article rightly indicates that the project found that there had been little systemic change as a result of the initiatives.
