Gender & Women's Studies & Education

This MA scheme is designed to allow students to combine an interest in Gender , Women's Studies and Education. It is available full-time, or part-time.

Of the six taught modules, three must be taken from the range of modules in Gender and Women's Studies, including the compulsory core module WS 402 Doing Feminist Research, and three from Education. One of your modules must be EDS 814 Engendered Education, but you can count this as either a Women's Studies or an Education module. Students undertake their dissertation with a supervisor of their choice from either department. The following list of module titles will give some idea of the options available in Gender & Women's Studies. Those interested in this option should contact the MA Co-ordinator in the Department of Educational Research.

The full range of modules available in the Department of Educational Research is listed in the Courses section of this website.

You can find out more by looking at the Centre for Gender & Women's Studies web-site.
